WHITE HOUSE STYLE

I have always had a fascination with the White House. And upon word that Michael S. Smith will be redecorating for the Obama family, many people, myself included, are anxiously awaiting to see what will be in store the most famous house in America. I wandered over to the White House Museum website, and collected my favorite photographs of the house over the last century (and then some). Enjoy!

The Kennedy Yellow Oval Room, 1962.

Blue Room, 1880's.

What a doll...
Nancy Reagan in the Red Room, 1981.

The Nixon Green Room, 1977.

Such a beautiful window. I wonder what was on Betty's mind...
Betty Ford in the Sitting Hall, 1975.

East Room, 1911.

Jackie Kennedy's Dressing Room, 1962.

Betty Ford making a call in the Master Bedroom, 1976.

I would take this bedroom as my own.
